A comprehensive eye examination assesses the visual systems of the eyes and its overall health. It involves testing the visual acuity and how the eyes works together, checking the glasses' prescription and diagnosing eyes diseases. A comprehensive eyes exam is recommended yearly for those 19 years and under, and those 65 years and older. For those who are between 20 years and 64 years it's every 2 years. Children as early as 6 months can start seeing an Optometrist.
